Should i tell more people?

im only in eith grade graduating soon nd 14 nd i no tht i am gay. i just recently told one of my friends and he seemed shocked and freeked out. he acted differently around me for awhile then acted normal then wen i thanked him for it he said he completly forgot nd thts y he was acting normal again. im afraid tht other people will act different around me too nd not be acepting. how should i go about tellin other people/ asking another kid if hes gay without him nowin bout me
