Because they know that the baby can feel it after 8 weeks and they know that it damages your body to an extent. Doctors generally care more about life than money. There are a few who value money more but generally they prefer to save lives. Also I think that was great advice they gave you since you got pregnant once, no offence, and they gave you the condoms just in case you did become sexually active again in hopes you don't get pregnant again so they don't have to kill another fetus and damage your body even further.
